In my opinion, I think that burning the American flag is wrong. I believe that no one should burn the American flag because of what it stands for and how many lives were taken, just to receive our flag. I have seen this case before, and it is tough to see Johnsons' case because it is protected by the 1st Amendment because of "symbolic speech", as he claimed. In the article, it states that this was Johnsons' way of "freedom of speech", even though some may find it offensive. I believe it should be stated that, burning the American flag is illegal because that shows hatred to our Country.
